One of the favorite desserts at our house is creamy banana pudding. I have another recipe for old-fashioned banana pudding but it never gets used because everyone loves the creamy banana pudding recipe so much.
This is a great make-ahead dessert. It just gets better as it sits because the vanilla wafers get all soft and delicious. I’m pretty sure Noah’s favorite part of banana pudding is the fresh bananas. Funny story – when we would have banana pudding when Noah was younger, he would start singing and chanting “chocolate pudding, ohh, ohh! chocolate pudding, ohh, ohh!”
He’s now figured out that the pudding is not chocolate flavored. It hasn’t deterred him though. He still loves it!
I usually make the banana pudding in a large glass serving bowl, but this week I made it in individual serving cups. I used
these glass cups that I found online. I thought they were a great serving size. The cups come with plastic lids as well, which makes them very convenient for refrigerator storage.
Emily and I recorded a video tutorial to show how we make the creamy banana pudding. Do you find those helpful? I’m curious if you think they’re worth it or not.
Let us know if you want to see more videos on the blog.
You can find the Creamy Banana Pudding recipe here. There’s also another way to serve up the banana pudding over there with the recipe.
I hope you’ll give this recipe a try. It’s a classic and so yummy.
