Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there. I’m blessed with two wonderful mothers in my life – my mom and my mother-in-law. I appreciate both of them and all they do for our family.
I didn’t get to see either one of them today but my mother-in-law brought me a beautiful hydrangea a few days ago. Mike and Emily planted it in the flower bed tonight.
Since my foot is not in good shape right now, we opted to stay home and eat chicken fettuccine alfredo for lunch. I wish I’d gotten a picture for you because it turned out to be a really good lunch! Next time I make it, I’ll give you the recipe.
The Best Part of Noah
I wanted to share with you the poem that Noah wrote for me at school for Mother’s Day.
The Best Part of Me
by Noah Smith
The best part of me is my head.
My head is great.
I can eat with it.
I would not be able to see
and eat and smell.
That’s why my head
is the best part of me.
Air Fryer
For the last couple weeks, we’ve been testing out our new air fryer. We’ve made several things that turned out really well and a couple things we’re still testing. I’m going to be sharing some of the recipes with you this week, including Air Fryer Roasted Chicken.
Looking Forward …
This week is going to be an adjustment week as we go back to our new normal schedule after my foot surgery. I’m not able to drive right now so Mike will be shuttling kids around wherever they need to go.
Emily has a band concert and a piano recital this week and I’m really looking forward to both. I have some trepidation about how it’s all going to work, but I know it will work out one way or the other.
We’ll just keep moving forward until it all works out!
