How to Freeze Lemon Bars

Author: Jennifer

Equipment

  • plastic wrap
  • freezer-safe container or zip-top freezer bag

Instructions

  • Cut lemon bars into individual bars.
  • Place the lemon bars uncovered on a freezer-safe pan lined with parchment paper then freeze for at least 1 hour until firm.
  • Wrap each lemon bar tightly in plastic wrap to prevent air from getting in.
  • Place wrapped lemon bars into a freezer-safe container or zip-top freezer bag.
  • Lemon bars can be frozen for 3-4 months.

Notes

After lemon bars are pre-frozen and wrapped, you can vacuum seal them in Foodsaver bags.
To thaw, allow the lemon bars to thaw in the refrigerator overnight. You can add more powdered sugar to the top after thawing.
