Blackberry Cobbler is the perfect summer dessert for your next BBQ. The tart blackberries are a delicious compliment to the sweet and buttery cobbler with a hint of almond flavor.
In a medium glass bowl, combine blackberries and 1/4 cup sugar. Stir well. Allow blackberries to sit undisturbed for 30 minutes to allow juices to develop.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place butter in an 8X8-inch baking dish and place in the oven while preheating.
Combine flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, salt, milk, vanilla, and almond extract in a small bowl. Pour over melted butter. Do not mix.
Spoon blackberries and syrup over the batter. Do not mix.
