Air Fryer Lemon Hand Pies

Air Fryer Lemon Pies

Air Fryer Lemon Pies are an oil-free version of classic lemon fried pies,.
These little beauties are sometimes called hand pies because they are often eaten by hand rather than using a fork.
They cook up light and flaky in the Air Fryer.
Top with a luscious lemon glaze for extra lemon flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg, 14.1 oz refrigerated pie crust
  • 1 can, 20 oz lemon pie filling

For glaze:

Directions

  • Preheat Air Fryer to 360 degrees F. Soften pie crusts according to package directions.
  • Remove pie crusts from the package and place them on top of each other. Use a pizza cutter or sharp knife to cut through both crusts into 8 squares (or squarish shapes). The pair of crusts that were cut together will be the top and bottom of each fruit pie.
  • Working with the crusts for one pie at a time, spoon about 1 tablespoon of pie filling into the middle of each bottom crust. Use your hands to stretch the top crust just slightly and place it on top of the pie.
  • Use a fork to crimp the edges of the pie crust so that the filling does not leak out.
  • Place pies in a single layer in the basket of the Air Fryer. Cook 7 minutes then turn the pies over and cook another 5-7 minutes.
  • While pies are cooking, stir together powdered sugar and lemon juice in a small bowl until it's a thin, pourable consistency.
  • Drizzle over pies.
