Apple Cinnamon Bake

Apple Cinnamon Bake is a super simple recipe that combines refrigerated cinnamon rolls with apple pie filling to make a delicious breakfast casserole. The cream cheese icing on this apple pie cinnamon roll breakfast lasagna makes it a standout star on the breakfast table.

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 9x13-inch baking dish. Set aside.
  • Open both cinnamon roll packages (reserve icing packets) and cut unbaked rolls into quarters. (If using the larger Grands cinnamon rolls, cut each roll into about 6 pieces.)
  • In a large bowl, stir together cinnamon roll pieces and apple pie filling, coating each piece well. Pour into the prepared baking dish.
  • In a small zip-top baggie or small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over the cinnamon roll and apple pie mixture in the pan.
  • Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes, until light brown and bubbly.
  • In a small mixing bowl using an electric mixer, blend the cream cheese until smooth. Add in both packets of cinnamon roll icing and 1-2 Tablespoons of milk. Mix until icing is smooth and pourable.
  • Drizzle icing over warm casserole.
