Ingredients

For dipping:

Directions

  • Place the flour in a microwave-safe bowl then heat on HIGH power for 45 seconds. Stir well, then microwave for another 45 seconds. Cool completely. (This will heat treat the flour to make it safe to eat.)
  • In a medium bowl using a hand mixer, mix together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in milk and vanilla extract then mix well.
  • Mix in heat-treated flour and salt until just combined. Fold in mini chocolate chips. Refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes.
  • Scoop the dough into 1/2-inch balls using about 2 teaspoons of dough for each. Press the dough ball down to form a disc then sandwich each one between two pretzels.
  • Place chocolate chips and Crisco in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH power in 30 second intervals until melted and smooth.
  • Dip each cookie dough stuffed pretzel halfway into the melted chocolate then place on a sheet of waxed paper to cool completely.

Notes

For an extra wow factor, try sprinkling a little sea salt on the chocolate before it sets, adding a delightful contrast to the sweet, creamy cookie dough center.
If you’re in a hurry and can't wait for the dough to chill, place it in the freezer for about 10 minutes instead.
