Ingredients

Directions

  • Line an 8-inch square pan with aluminum foil. Grease the foil well.
  • In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter, milk, and chocolate chips. Microwave on high power for 1 minute then stir well. Continue heating and stirring in 30-second increments until the chocolate chips are melted and smooth.
  • Stir in the powdered sugar and vanilla. Using an electric mixer, beat at medium speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Stir in chopped walnuts.
  • Spread the mixture into the prepared pan. Cover and chill for 1-2 hours until firm. Cut fudge into 1-inch pieces.

Notes

Either salted butter or unsalted butter will work in this recipe. I use salted butter.
Pecans or other nuts can be substituted for walnuts. OR nuts can be omitted.
Fudge may be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks or wrapped tightly and stored in the freezer for up to a month.
