  • In a medium mixing bowl, blend together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and Cool Whip with an electric mixer until smooth. Spread the mixture into a pie plate or serving dish.
  • Combine brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, egg, pecans, vanilla extract, and salt in a saucepan. Heat the pecan mixture on medium heat, stirring constantly, until it comes to a boil.
  • Boil for 1 minute then remove from heat. Cool for 10 minutes then pour over the cream cheese layer.

Notes

Serve with pretzels, graham crackers, vanilla wafers, apple slices, or cookies.
