  1. I have the round silicone inserts for my air fryer. Do you think that would work as a substitute for the glass, as they do in the oven? Thanks!

Oh, my goodness. These were amazing! Followed the recipe exactly. I split the dough and made chocolate chip bars and butterscotch chip bars in 3 cup rectangular glass dishes. I sprayed the dishes instead of using parchment paper. Now thinking of other combos: white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts; peanut butter chips and chopped peanuts; oh, my. So glad I came across your wonderful, easy recipe.

Great, accurate recipe. Followed recipe exactly. I prepared in my Cosori 5.8 qt, 1700 watt Air Fryer using an 8″ x 1″ pizza pan designed for air fryers. Buttered pan bottom & sides, lined bottom with cut to fit parchment paper & then buttered the parchment as well. 1st cookie @ 10 min, feared it was slightly under cooked but wasn’t after cool down in pan & then on cooling rack. 2nd cookie was in for 12-13 mins, had a little more crisp on surface but still chewy interior. No problem with releasing. Great texture, used allergy free mini chips. Thanks so much for sharing!

It was an easy recipe to follow and make. The timing for assembly and baking were mostly correct. Had to adjust timing based upon my air fryer. I had a quick and small portioned dessert in a fraction of the time.

    1. I wouldn’t recommend substituting butter with olive oil. The butter and sugar need to be creamed together well to get some air into your cookie. I think you would not get the same result with olive oil. Sorry.

    1. The 1,100 calories is for a whole pan cookie! You can split each pan cookie into 4 servings or even 6 servings if you have decent self control! ?

  4. Great recipe! The only thing is that it was super brown on the outside and raw on the inside. I don’t know if I should lower the temperature and cook longer… (we still ate it all gooey.)

    1. I think this sometimes happens when the pan is too small. There is too much batter and it doesn’t have time to fully cook through. I would try lowering the temp and cooking a bit longer. Or cook the dough in batches.

  5. This is so easy and delicious! I didn’t use a pan lined my air fryer with Aluminum foil and baked all at 1 time. Family loved it.

  6. I followed the directions exactly and even got help making it, but it still didn’t work out as it should have. It looked cooked on the outside, similar to the pictures, but the I side was just a big gooey mess. It tastes good, but it is completely raw. I even out it back into my air fryer and it still is not cooked through.

    1. I’m sorry your Air Fryer cookie didn’t turn out. All air fryers cook differently so yours may have needed a bit more time to completely cook through.

    1. Our air fryer does not have a bake mode but I would suggest trying it with this recipe. Just check it for doneness and you might need to cook it a little longer. Let us know how it goes!

  7. I didn’t read that it made 2 pan cookies until AFTER I had put it all in one pan. Ended up with a huge globby mess – I thought I had missed it in the instructions but I didn’t.
