Meet Jennifer Smith

Jennifer Smith, recipe developer at Grace Like Rain Blog

Hi, I’m Jennifer Smith

My family and I are the ones cooking up all the recipes, writing the blog posts, snapping the photos, and making the videos that you see around here.

Everything You See Is Real

All the photos that you’ll see on my website show the real food exactly as it turns out when following the recipe. No phony food staging or AI-generated images here. What you see is what you’ll get.

Only the Best Recipes

These are my top recipes that I’ve perfected through many years of experience. It’s like the recipes in the old church cookbooks – you know that the recipes are excellent because the church ladies only submit their best recipes for the cookbook.

The same is true with the recipes on this website. My reputation is on the line with every recipe that I publish, and I want to ensure that you have a great experience when you make it for your family and friends.

Using Science to Drive Innovation

Forget about trial-and-error cooking! My background in Management Information Systems lets me bring a data-driven approach to recipe testing at Grace Like Rain, LLC.

This means you get reliable recipes that work every time, plus I’m constantly innovating with new features to make the website even more helpful.

Decades of Cooking Experience

I’ve been into cooking pretty much non-stop for the last 30 years, starting from when I was a kid making dinners for my family, to impressing my college friends with big meals from my tiny dorm kitchen.

Now, I focus on fine-tuning these recipes as a recipe developer and food writer. Some of the recipes that I’ve shared are beloved family recipes passed down from my grandmother, my mother, and a whole line of strong, amazing women.

My Recipes Won The World Over

My easy recipes have grabbed the spotlight on The Today Show, Prevention, and MSN and received nods and mentions from other well-known foodies.

Because of this, you can trust that the recipes you’ll find here are truly the best of the best.

Trust me, you’ll find all the good recipes here.

Why I Share My Recipes

Sure, I started this website as my creative playground to share food adventures, but it’s blossomed into something more. Now, it’s about connecting with YOU, no matter your skill level in the kitchen.

I share my recipes because food is my passion, and I believe AMAZING eats should be accessible to everyone. That means no fancy techniques, just clear instructions to get you cooking with confidence, even if you’re a kitchen newbie.

Truth be told, even if it’s just my family enjoying my recipes, I’ll keep sharing my favorite recipes here. This is my legacy for my children. They’ll always have my recipes right here in my little corner of the internet to share with their families for generations to come.
