Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Spread both cans of pie filling into the bottom of the baking dish.
Sprinkle cake mix over the pie filling layer.
Slice butter into tabs and arrange them evenly on the cake mix. Do not mix together.
Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes. *See Note

Notes
Tip! Check your dump cake about 30 minutes into baking. If you see some dry spots where the cake mix looks powdery, spray a little nonstick cooking spray over the area. That will add moisture and fix those dry spots right away.
