Ingredients

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, stir together marinara sauce, water, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt.
  • Add broken lasagna noodles and frozen meatballs to the sauce mixture. Stir to coat well.
  • Spread half of the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  • Dollop ricotta cheese evenly over the mixture, then sprinkle with 1 cup mozzarella cheese.
  • Top with remaining noodle and meatball mixture.
  • Cover tightly with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and stir well, making sure all the noodles are covered with the sauce. Re-cover with foil, return to the oven, and cook for 15 minutes.
  • Remove and discard foil, sprinkle remaining 1 cup mozzarella cheese on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Break noodles into bite-sized pieces for easier serving and even cooking.
  • Make sure noodles are fully submerged in sauce to soften properly.
  • You can substitute cottage cheese for ricotta if preferred.
  • Add spinach or mushrooms for extra veggies.
