Lazy Lasagna
Ingredients
- 24 oz jar marinara sauce
- 1 ¼ cups water
- 8-10 oven-ready lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 25 frozen fully cooked meatballs
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, stir together marinara sauce, water, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt.
- Add broken lasagna noodles and frozen meatballs to the sauce mixture. Stir to coat well.
- Spread half of the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Dollop ricotta cheese evenly over the mixture, then sprinkle with 1 cup mozzarella cheese.
- Top with remaining noodle and meatball mixture.
- Cover tightly with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove from oven and stir well, making sure all the noodles are covered with the sauce. Re-cover with foil, return to the oven, and cook for 15 minutes.
- Remove and discard foil, sprinkle remaining 1 cup mozzarella cheese on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
