This Baby Shower Candy Bar Game had everyone laughing as we tried to match pregnancy and parenting clues with candy bar names. It is an easy, lighthearted baby shower activity, and I have created a free printable game sheet, answer key, candy shopping list, and host guide to make it simple to play.

I made a poster-board version of this game for our baby shower and attached the actual candy bars to the board. Seeing all the possible answers helped guests make their guesses, and the candy display also became part of the shower decorations.
The complete printable set includes:
- One Baby Shower Candy Bar Game sheet for each guest
- A separate answer key for the host
- A candy shopping list
- A host guide with instructions and a poster-board variation
What Is the Baby Shower Candy Bar Game?
The Baby Shower Candy Bar Game is a matching game in which guests connect baby-related words and phrases with candy bar names. For example, “Twins” matches with “Twix,” while “Baby Laughs” matches with “Snickers.”
You may also see this activity called the Pregnancy Candy Match Game or How Sweet It Is Baby Shower Game. It works well for baby showers of almost any size because guests can play individually, in teams, or together as a group.
This is different from the dirty diaper candy bar game. That activity involves placing melted candy bars inside diapers and asking guests to identify them. My printable is a clean and simple word-matching game with no melted chocolate required.

Free Printable Baby Shower Candy Bar Game
I created a coordinated four-page printable set so you do not have to make your own game sheet or organize all the answers before the shower.
The printable is designed for standard 8 1/2 by 11-inch paper. Print one game sheet for every guest, but you will only need one copy of the answer key, shopping list, and host guide.

What You Need
This baby shower game does not require many supplies. Here is what I recommend having ready:
- Printed game sheets: Print one copy for every guest or team.
- Answer key: Keep this page hidden until it is time to score the game.
- Pens or pencils: Make sure everyone has something to write with.
- A timer: Give guests about five to ten minutes to complete the game.
- Candy bars: These are optional, but they make a fun display or prize.
- Poster board: You will need this only if you want to recreate my display.
- A prize: A basket of candy bars makes an easy themed prize for the winner.
How to Prepare the Game
Print the guest game sheets before the shower and place one at each seat with a pen or pencil. Keep the answer key nearby, but do not let the guests see it before the game begins.
If you are using actual candy bars as visual clues, arrange them in a basket or attach them to a sturdy poster board. You can use removable adhesive, glue dots, or strong tape to hold the wrappers in place.
My best tip is to buy the candy before assembling the display. A few of the less-common bars can be surprisingly hard to find, so you may need to check more than one store or leave out a clue.

How to Play the Baby Shower Candy Bar Game
This is the easiest way to play using the printable game sheets:
- Give every guest a game sheet and a pen or pencil.
- Explain that each baby-related clue matches the name of a candy bar.
- Set a timer for five to ten minutes.
- Have guests write one candy bar answer beside every clue.
- Read the correct answers aloud when time is up.
- Let guests score their own sheets or exchange sheets with someone nearby.
- Award a prize to the person with the most correct answers.
If two or more players are tied, ask them to name another candy bar that could match a baby-related clue. The host can choose the most creative answer.

My Baby Shower Candy Bar Poster
Instead of printing a list of possible candy bar answers for everyone, I attached the actual candy bars to a stiff poster board I found at Hobby Lobby. Guests could look at the display to see their choices and figure out which candy bars had not been used.
I thought this method worked especially well because it made the game more visual. It also created a cute and colorful display for the shower.
Some of the candy bars were harder for us to find than I expected. My family helped me track down the more obscure ones, and they found several at CVS and Walgreens. We used the Walgreens website to locate Big Hunk at a store a few miles away, and they found it as soon as they arrived.
Rocky Road was another difficult one to find. We eventually located it at a specialty candy store in Norman. Store inventory changes, so I recommend checking availability online before driving around to different stores.
What If I Cannot Find Every Candy Bar?
You do not need to purchase every candy bar to play the game. Guests can complete the printable using only the clues, and you can read the answers from the answer key.
If you want to make the candy display, you have several options:
- Leave out any clue with a candy bar you cannot find.
- Print the candy bar name on a colorful card instead.
- Order difficult-to-find candy online.
- Use the closest available candy as the prize.
- Display only the most recognizable candy bars.
The printable shopping list makes it easy to mark which candies you have found and which ones you still need.
Baby Shower Candy Bar Game Variations
Play as a Group
Read one clue aloud at a time and let guests call out their guesses. Award the matching candy bar to the first person with the correct answer.
Play in Teams
Divide guests into small teams and give each team one game sheet. This variation works especially well for a large shower or when some guests do not know one another.
Use the Candy Bars as Prizes
Let the winner choose several candy bars from the display, or create a basket containing miniature versions of the featured candies.
Make It a Memory Game
Write the baby clues and candy bar names on separate cards. Place the cards face down and let guests take turns finding matching pairs.
Shorten the Game
If you do not want to use all 25 clues, choose 10 to 15 of your favorites. Just remember to mark the clues you are using on your answer key before the shower begins.
Tips for a Fun and Easy Game
- Print an extra guest sheet in case someone makes a mistake or an unexpected guest arrives.
- Use white cardstock if you want a sturdier game sheet.
- Set a definite time limit so the activity does not last too long.
- Make sure the answer key is not visible while guests are playing.
- Read each answer aloud because hearing the candy bar matches is part of the fun.
- Choose a prize that works for any guest, such as a candy basket, candle, or small gift card.
- Remove any clue that does not feel right for your particular group.
