Ingredients & Substitutions
The ingredients in this recipe come together to form the perfect Oreo ice cream.
Here’s what you need and why:
- Whole milk: Provides a creamy base and keeps the ice cream smooth.
- Heavy whipping cream: Adds richness and a more decadent texture.
- Granulated sugar: Sweetens the ice cream just right.
- Light corn syrup: Helps prevent ice crystals from forming, keeping the ice cream smooth and scoopable.
- Vanilla extract: Enhances the flavor and adds a touch of warmth.
- Oreo cookies: The star of the show, adding crunch and bursts of chocolatey delight.
How to Make Oreo Ice Cream in the Ninja Creami
Making this ice cream is super straightforward and involves a few steps:
- Pour milk, heavy whipping cream, sugar, corn syrup, and vanilla extract into a Ninja Creami pint container. Stir well.
- Freeze the container for 12-24 hours; then remove the container from the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for 10 minutes.
- Process in the Ninja Creami using the ice cream setting.
- Make a well in the middle of the ice cream and add the 4 broken Oreo cookies.
- Return the container to the Ninja Creami and process again using the mix-in setting.
- If desired, top with an extra broken Oreo for added crunch and visual appeal.

Pro Tips
- Make sure to mix the ingredients well before freezing to ensure even sweetness and consistency.
- Be patient and let the ice cream sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before processing—this makes all the difference in texture!
- When adding the Oreo cookies, break them into reasonably small pieces so they mix in well and you get a piece in every bite.
Serving Suggestions
- Serve the ice cream in a chilled bowl for best results.
- For an extra touch, drizzle some chocolate or caramel syrup over the top.
- Pair it with a warm brownie or pie for an irresistible dessert combo.
Recipe Variations
- Swap out the Oreo cookies for other cookies like chocolate chip or snickerdoodle for a fun twist.
- Add a handful of mini chocolate chips or crushed peppermint candies for extra flavor.
- Experiment with different extracts such as peppermint or almond for a unique taste.
