Rainbow Sherbet Party Punch Cups are an easy shortcut of my original Sherbet Punch recipe that can be made with lemonade right in your party cups. No punch bowl needed for this one. I’m sharing the basic recipe plus easy ways to customize for your party.

Keys to Success #1 – Let the Sherbet Soften
There are so many ways to make Rainbow Sherbet Party Punch.
A few months ago, I shared a recipe to make the Rainbow Sherbet Party Punch in a punch bowl but today I’m sharing a shortcut version that can be made right in the party cups.
The first tip is to let the sherbet soften a few minutes before you are ready to serve your punch.
You don’t have to leave it sitting out for a long time.
Five to ten minutes should be plenty.
You just want to make sure your sherbet is soft enough to easily scoop out of the container into the cups so that you’re not having to put in a bunch of extra work just to get the sherbet into the cups.
I like to use a small cookie scoop to portion out the sherbet into the cups.
I usually put 2-3 small scoops into each cup so that my partygoers don’t have to contend with one big, frozen lump of sherbet when they’re trying to drink their punch.

Keys to Success #2 – Perfect Party Cups
Perfect party cups for punch usually hold about 9 ounces of punch at a time.
You can get clear plastic cups that fit the bill pretty cheaply but there are also a lot of other fun options out there.
If you’re having a Hawaiian Luau Party, these Aloha cups are perfect.
They also have some with gold or silver rims if you’re having a fancy shindig.
You can also find colored party cups at your local party store or on Amazon.
One thing to keep in mind is that you’ll want to find cups that are short and wide versus tall and skinny.
This will give you more surface area to really let the pretty colors of your rainbow sherbet shine through.
You can also find rainbow straws for your party punch.
It would be so cute to stick a rainbow straw in each cup and this would allow your guests to stir the rainbow sherbet around with the straw as well.
Cute and useful. That’s a win!

Keys to Success #3 – Chill Your Lemonade
Another thing to keep in mind is that you’ll want to make sure your lemonade is chilled before you pour your punch.
Using chilled lemonade will ensure that your sherbet doesn’t melt too quickly during your party.
You can use any flavor of lemonade that you want.
Pink lemonade would be super cute for a little girl’s birthday party.
The rainbow colors from the sherbet would be super cute in a cup of pink lemonade.
You can also stick with one flavor of sherbet if that’s all you can find or if you’re going for a different color combination.
This one basic recipe has so many uses.
