Why I Love This Easy Oreo Cinnamon Rolls Recipe
There are so many reasons I keep coming back to this recipe.
- It uses refrigerated Grands cinnamon rolls which saves a ton of time.
- The heavy cream trick makes the cinnamon rolls unbelievably soft and gooey.
- Crushed Oreo cookies add the perfect cookies and cream flavor.
- The cream cheese icing tastes rich and bakery style.
- It only takes a few ingredients to make something that feels impressive.
- This recipe works for breakfast, brunch, dessert, or special occasions.
- Kids and adults both go crazy for these Oreo cinnamon rolls.
One trick that always works well for me in my kitchen is saving a spoonful of crushed Oreo crumbs to sprinkle over the top after icing the rolls. It makes them look extra pretty and gives every bite a little extra crunch.
Ingredients You’ll Need for Oreo Cinnamon Rolls
This easy Oreo cinnamon rolls recipe uses simple ingredients that come together to create a soft, rich, bakery style treat.
- Grands Cinnamon Rolls
Refrigerated cinnamon rolls make this recipe incredibly quick and easy. I love using Grands because they bake up thick and fluffy. Any refrigerated cinnamon rolls will work, but larger rolls give the best gooey texture. - Oreo Cookies
Crushed Oreo cookies create the cookies and cream flavor throughout the rolls. I usually use regular Oreos, but Double Stuf Oreos work great too if you want an even richer filling. - Cream Cheese
A little cream cheese mixed into the icing makes the topping taste homemade and extra creamy. Full fat cream cheese gives the best flavor and texture. - Heavy Whipping Cream
This is the secret ingredient that transforms canned cinnamon rolls into soft, gooey bakery style cinnamon rolls. The cream bakes into the bottom of the rolls and keeps them incredibly moist.
How to Make Easy Oreo Cinnamon Rolls
These cookies and cream cinnamon rolls come together quickly and are perfect for beginner bakers or busy mornings.
Pro Tips for the Best Oreo Cinnamon Rolls
- Grease the baking dish well to prevent sticking.
- Let the icing packet sit at room temperature while the rolls bake so it mixes smoothly with the cream cheese.
- Do not overbake the cinnamon rolls or they may lose some of their gooey texture.
- Pour the heavy cream around the rolls instead of directly on top so the tops still brown nicely.
- Serve these warm for the ultimate soft and gooey texture.
- Use a metal spatula to lift the cinnamon rolls out of the pan cleanly.
How to Serve Oreo Cinnamon Rolls
These easy Oreo breakfast rolls are perfect for so many occasions.
- Serve them warm for breakfast with coffee or cold milk.
- Add them to a brunch spread with fresh fruit and eggs.
- Make them for holiday mornings like Christmas morning or Easter brunch.
- Serve them as an easy dessert with vanilla ice cream.
- Pair them with hot chocolate for a cozy movie night treat.
- Cut them into smaller pieces for party platters or sleepovers.
Recipe Variations

Ingredients
- 1 pkg (5-ct) Grands cinnamon rolls,
- 10 Oreo cookies
- 2 oz cream cheese
- ½ cup heavy whipping cream
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish. Crush up the Oreos.
- Unroll each cinnamon roll into a long strip of dough and place crushed up Oreos all along the dough strip. Re-roll the dough into a cinnamon roll shape. Place the roll in the greased pan. Top the rolls with any remaining Oreo cookie crumbs.
- Pour the heavy whipping cream around the rolls in the pan (not on top), tilting the pan to ensure that the bottom of the pan is covered with cream. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and allow the cinnamon rolls to cool for 10 minutes.
- While the rolls are cooling, place 2 oz of cream cheese in a microwave-safe bowl and heat on HIGH power for 10 seconds to soften the cream cheese. Add in the icing that came with the cinnamon rolls and stir well. Drizzle the cream cheese icing over the cinnamon rolls.
