Key to Success #1 – Dip Oreos in White Chocolate
The first step to making these simple Christmas Oreos is to dip them into the melted white almond bark.
If you can find the White Fudge Covered Oreos, you can use them in this recipe!
That will save you an extra step and will also save you time overall.
To make things easy, melt the almond bark in the microwave.
Follow the package directions for melting the almond bark.
Most of the time, you can microwave the almond bark on high for 1 minute then stir well.
Continue heating in 30-second intervals until the almond bark is fully melted and smooth.
Fully immerse the Oreos into the almond bark then use a fork to remove it and tap off the excess.
Place the covered Oreos onto a sheet of waxed paper to dry completely.
It’s very important that the white almond bark is fully dry before you start decorating your Oreos.
Key to Success #2 – Add the Christmas Tree
When the white almond bark is dry, you can add on the Christmas Tree.
In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark green candy melts.
Stir the green candy melts well until it is completely smooth.
Next, pour the melted green candy into a zip-top plastic baggie.
Use a pair of scissors to snip off the end of the bag.
Start by snipping off a tiny bit then pipe a line onto a sheet of waxed paper to see if it is thick enough.
If you want your tree to be a bit thicker, snip off a bit more of the tip of the baggie.
Start by piping a dot of melted candy on the top part of the Oreo then create a zig-zag pattern to make the Christmas tree.
The zig-zag pattern should get wider as you move down toward the bottom.
End with a straight line down from the tree for the tree trunk.
I pipe the entire tree and trunk in one motion. I do not stop and start for each branch.
This creates an artistic effect with the tree.
The goal is not perfection.
Key to Success #3 – Decorate the Christmas Tree
After you add on the tree shape with green candy melts, it’s time to decorate it.
Add on a gold star at the top of the tree right where you put the spot of candy melts.
Next, take your nonpareils and sprinkle them over the green candy melts.
Since the green candy melts are still wet, the sprinkles will stick to it and create a really pretty Christmas design.
Allow the decorated Oreos to sit until they are completely dry.

- 1 pkg (16 oz) Oreo cookies
- 1 pkg (16 oz) white almond bark
- 1 pkg (12 oz) dark green candy melts
- candy stars
- Christmas-colored nonpareils sprinkles
- In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the almond bark on high power for 1 minute. Stir well. Microwave at 30-second intervals until almond bark is melted and smooth.
- Dip all Oreos into the melted almond bark until completely covered. Use two forks to remove the cookie and tap off the excess. Place on a sheet of waxed paper to dry.
- When the white chocolate Oreos are dry, melt the dark green candy melts in a small bowl. Pour the melted candy into a zip-top plastic baggie. Snip off a tiny corner of the bag.
- Use the bag to pipe a rough Christmas Tree shape on the dry Oreos. Start with a dab of candy at the top center portion of the Oreo then zigzag back and forth, making the lines wider as you go down. Finish with a line straight down for the trunk.
- Immediately place a candy star on the top of the tree. Sprinkle nonpareils over the wet candy.
- Allow to dry completely before moving cookies.
- You can substitute the White Fudge Covered Oreos instead of dipping the Oreos in white almond bark.
