Why I Love This Recipe
These Air Fryer Cheesy Dorito Bites are not only incredibly tasty but also super easy to prepare.
I love the combination of cheddar cheese coated in the crunchy, flavorful Doritos.
The air fryer makes them perfectly crispy without all the oil.
They’re my go-to when I need something quick yet impressive.

Ingredients & Substitutions
To make these delectable bites, you’ll need a few simple ingredients:
- Cheddar Cheese: The star of the show, giving you that gooey, melty goodness.
- Nacho Cheese Doritos Chips: Adds that irresistible crunch and cheesy flavor.
- Eggs: Helps the coating stick to the cheese.
- All-Purpose Flour: Helps to create a base coat that holds everything together.
- Garlic Powder, Salt & Pepper: Adds a bit of seasoning and enhances the flavors.
Feel free to substitute the cheddar cheese with your favorite type of cheese, like mozzarella or pepper jack, for a different twist.
You can also use any flavor of Doritos you love!

How to Make Cheesy Dorito Bites in the Air Fryer

Pro Tips
- Freezing Time: Make sure to freeze the cheese triangles thoroughly to prevent them from melting too quickly in the air fryer.
- Uniform Size: Cut cheese triangles into uniform sizes to ensure even cooking.
- Avoid Overcrowding: Cook in batches to allow hot air to circulate properly, giving you the perfect crispiness.
Serving Suggestions
I love serving these Air Fryer Cheesy Dorito Bites with a variety of dipping sauces.
Ranch dressing, marinara sauce, or even a spicy sriracha mayo work great.
They make an excellent addition to a snack platter or can be served alongside a fresh salad for a fun lunch or dinner.
Recipe Variations
- Spicy Version: Add some cayenne pepper or chili powder to the flour mixture for a kick.
- Different Cheeses: Try using a mix of cheeses like Monterey Jack or Colby for a different flavor profile.
- Healthy Twist: Use whole wheat flour and baked chips instead for a slightly healthier version.
