🔑 Key to Success #1 – Slice ’em up! Tops go one way, bottoms the other.
These easy Poppy Seed Turkey and Cheese Sliders start with a delicious base of Sweet Hawaiian Rolls.
We’re using a pack of 24 rolls, but you could also substitute two 12-count packages.
Get your bread knife ready, time for a sawing session!
Remove the rolls from the packaging and cut the slab of rolls in half with a big serrated knife, such as a bread knife, to separate the tops of the buns from the bottoms.
I set my palm on top of the rolls and then saw back and forth through them with a serrated knife.
The serrated knife and sawing motion are essential for cutting the rolls cleanly without tearing the bread.
Keep the tops of the rolls together as well as the bottoms of the rolls attached.
This will come in handy when layering the turkey and Swiss cheese.

🔑 Key to Success #2 – Pile the Toppings High
On this delicious savory and sweet slider, we’re going in with two layers of cheese and one thick layer of turkey.
Place a layer of Swiss cheese on the bottom buns, making sure to cover the buns completely with the cheese.
It’s okay to overlap the Swiss cheese slices to make sure everything is covered well.
On top of the cheese layer, add in all of your turkey slices.
You’ll want to use deli-sliced turkey breast, not honey turkey.
We’re adding plenty of sweetness with the Hawaiian rolls so we don’t need extra sweetness in the turkey.
Overlap the turkey slices as much as needed to completely cover the cheese.
You’ll probably end up with two or three layers of turkey.
Finally, add another layer of Swiss cheese.
The cheese at the top and bottom will help hold the sliders together once the cheese is melted.

🔑 Key to Success #3 – Brush on the Sauce, Use it All Up
Melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and poppy seeds combine to make a fantastic sauce for these sliders.
It’s made with simple ingredients, but it adds a lot of flavor and moisture to the Poppy Seed Turkey and Cheese Sliders.
Simply combine the sauce ingredients and brush them over the tops of the rolls.
If you don’t have a pastry brush, apply the glaze to the tops of the rolls with a spoon.
The sauce will run down the sides of the rolls and pool at the bottom of the pan.
This is to be expected, and the sliders will be flawless.
Be sure to use up all the sauce because that’s what makes these sliders so good.
