Why I Love This Recipe
What sets this Sausage Egg McMuffin Casserole apart is how effortless it is to whip up, yet it never fails to impress!
I really love how the combination of flavors works together.
The richness of the eggs, the savory sausage, and the melted cheese create a deliciously cheesy egg bake that feels both comforting and indulgent.

Ingredients & Substitutions
This casserole is all about high-quality ingredients that really elevate the dish.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- English Muffins: These give the casserole its unique texture and structure; feel free to use whole wheat or gluten-free muffins for a healthier option.
- Breakfast Sausage: I usually go for Jimmy Dean, but any ground sausage works well; try turkey sausage for a lighter alternative!
- Cheddar Cheese: I love using sharp cheddar for extra flavor, but mozzarella or pepper jack can be fun substitutes too.
- Eggs: Fresh, large eggs provide the perfect base for the fluffy richness of this dish.
- Milk: Whole milk makes it creamy, but you can use almond or oat milk for a dairy-free version.
- Salt and Pepper: Just the basics to enhance the overall flavor.
