Easy Pecan Pie Brownies
Ingredients
PECAN PIE FILLING:
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease an 8-inch square pan; set aside.
- In a medium bowl, mix together brownie mix, contents of the fudge packet, 1 egg, 1/2 cup melted butter, and milk until well blended. Pour into the pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 15 minutes, until a toothpick inserted 1 inch from the edge of the pan comes out clean. Remove from the oven.
- While the brownies are baking, stir together brown sugar, corn syrup, 1 egg, 2 tablespoons melted butter, vanilla, and salt in a medium bowl. Stir in pecans.
- Pour pecan filling evenly over the brownies, making sure the pecans are evenly distributed. Return the brownies to the oven for 15 minutes, until the filling is set.
- Cool pecan pie brownies completely before cutting and serving.
