Honey Bunny Easter Chex Mix is a quick and easy snack for your Easter celebration. It comes together in minutes. If you like honey, you’ll love this one!

Key to Success #1 – Start With a Solid Base
The base for this Chex Mix starts with Corn Chex and Rice Chex.
Then you add in the Honey Nut Cheerios for a little different texture.

You can, of course, customize the cereal selection to your liking.
I like the mix of Corn and Rice Chex, but any variety will work.
The same goes for the Cheerios cereal.
You can use plain Cheerios if you’d prefer.

Key to Success #2 – Add Your Mix-Ins … With One Exception
You’ll want to add your sunflower seeds and your nuts before you bake the Honey Bunny Easter Chex Mix so that you can make sure they are completely coated with the honey mixture.
Just make sure you wait to add the chocolate candies after the Chex Mix has cooled.
You don’t want your M&Ms to be melted.
If you want to substitute a different kind of pastel candy, you can definitely do that.
I bought some pastel Reese’s Pieces Eggs for my Easter Bunny Chex Mix, but I ate them before my Chex Mix was ready.
Ooopsie!

Key to Success #3 – Watch Your Honey
To make this recipe a little quicker, we’re using the microwave to whip up the honey mixture.
You just need to bring the butter and honey to a boil.
I used a glass measuring cup to boil my honey because it’s microwave-safe and makes pouring a breeze.
You just have to watch the honey mixture carefully to make sure it doesn’t boil over in your microwave.
Once the butter and honey boil, you’re ready to go.

Just pour out the mixture onto a foil-covered rimmed baking sheet and bake at 300 degrees F for 25 minutes.
Make sure your stir the Chex Mix around at least once during the baking time to make sure it bakes evenly.
Your Chex Mix should be golden brown when it comes out of the oven.
Let it cool then add the candies of your choice and enjoy.
It’s that quick and easy. Now let’s party!
