Key to Success #1 – Use Real Mayonnaise
This delicious Million Dollar Dip calls for real mayonnaise.
I do not recommend substituting Miracle Whip or a lite mayo for the mayonnaise in this recipe.
In fact, I prefer Hellman’s Real Mayonnaise.
I think it has the richest flavor of any of the commercially prepared mayonnaise that’s available today.
You could make your own mayonnaise if you’d prefer.
I chose to use Hellman’s just because I like to keep things quick and easy when I have company coming over.

Key to Success #2 – Shred Your Own Cheese
Nothing beats some good ‘ol freshly shredded cheese to make your dish stand out from the crowd.
Yeah, you can get the store-bought packages of shredded cheese, but are they really as good?
You know that they add things to those packages to make the cheese not clump together and it’s just not as fresh!
Buy you a big hunk of good cheese and a nice quality cheese grater and put in a couple of minutes of work to get yourself some freshly shredded cheese.
It’ll be worth it, I promise you.
You can use a box grater if you have enough space to store it, but it’s really not necessary.
One of these handheld graters is slim and easy to store and it grates even soft cheeses like a champ.

Key to Success #3 – Make the Bacon Crispy
I think one of the stars of this Million Dollar Dip has got to be the real bacon.
Don’t waste your cash on those store-bought pouches of bacon bits.
They will not give you that nice crunch to your bacon that you really need in this dip.
If you’re worried about the mess it makes when you cook bacon, try cooking bacon in your Air Fryer.
The bacon crisps up perfectly and you won’t have bacon grease popping all over your kitchen.
The Air Fryer is seriously the best way to cook bacon.
